“Respect for other people (…)”

“Respect for other people (…)”

“Respect for other people, care for one’s words and actions, respect for the environment” – we talk to Beata Drzazga.

The professional history of Beata Drzazga convinces us that a woman can find her place in business at any moment of her life and from any financial level.
Not having much money, she built a brand, thanks to which she quickly found herself on the Forbes magazine’s list of the highest-paid women in Poland. It tells us about the role of ethics in business.

Where does the passion and need to share your success with others come from?

Sharing your experience and knowledge is one of the best ways to help others achieve success and fulfillment in life. Thanks to this, I can positively influence the lives of other people, inspire them and, above all, motivate them to further development. Moreover, I support them in building lasting relationships based on mutual respect and trust. This is something that I really needed at the beginning of my career in business, and what I didn’t
I received.

Building your own business takes a lot of work. How do you find time for other activities?

I am active and I always have new ideas. Of course, I also rest, but I still have the desire to build something new. It happens that when we achieve success in a given field, we start to get bored and lose motivation, but I am different,
always full of enthusiasm to improve what I have already created and to create new projects. I want to share my experiences and knowledge with others and help them achieve their goals. Often people are looking for a person who will help them choose the right path and provide support on the way to success, someone who has gone his way and knows how to overcome obstacles. I fulfill the role of such a guide and advise many people in their professional and professional lives
privat. What’s more – as the dean of the Faculty of Medicine, I have a chance to share my knowledge and practice with students of the University of Upper Silesia in Katowice.

You are involved in many charities. Is it a need or an obligation?

I am a very empathetic person and I cannot ignore suffering. Pain is present all over the world and in rich and poor countries, but the greatest drama is the misery that befalls innocent children. I can’t ignore the suffering of these helpless little creatures. It is one of the most difficult and depressing problems of our world. Every year, millions of children around the world suffer from war, conflict, disease, hunger and poverty. Their needs are enormous and it is extremely important that we as a society try to do everything we can to help them. That is why it is so important for me to get involved in charity campaigns and in the activities of organizations that help children in need. Each has the potential to become a force for good and change the lives of several people for the better.

I admire your commitment and perseverance, and your employees praise you for your empathy and development opportunities. Do you care about people at work?

Tak. I want my employees to feel confident and safe. It is important to me that work is not a compulsion and a sad daily duty for them. That is why I believe that empathy is a very important approach to team management. When employees feel good at work, their efficiency and commitment to performing their duties increase significantly, and a nice atmosphere is conducive to their well-being and health. A properly organized workplace, with the principles of business ethics, clear goals and professional development prospects, allows you to develop skills and gain experience, which is extremely important in the pursuit of success. It is also worth remembering about regular training of employees and enabling them to acquire new qualifications, which translates into the development of the company.

You touched on an important topic – business ethics, but shouldn’t we follow it all the time?

Ethics should be present in every area of our lives, not just in business. Being ethical includes: respect for other people, care for one’s words and actions, respect for the environment in which we live. Ethics helps us to be guided by good values, which is particularly important in the context of building positive relationships with other people, raising children, taking care of one’s health and well-being. So let’s be good to each other and
others.
