In order to understand what values have become important to employees and what motivates them, Capital24.tv’s Tomasz Stanpruch spoke with experienced leaders Beata Drzazga, founder of BetaMed, and Rafal Hiszpanski, CEO of DAS TU Ochrony Prawna SA (in liquidation). The values that have become relevant to today’s workers have evolved with social and cultural progress. It is no longer sufficient for work to be merely a way to earn money. Employees want to feel that their work has an impact on society, the environment or the well-being of other people. For many employees, creating a work-life balance and the opportunity for personal and professional development is very important. Leaders’ approaches to management and employees’ expectations have also changed in recent years. Leaders need to be more open to dialogue and collaboration with the team. Leaders must be willing to delegate responsibility and allow employees to develop their own ideas and initiatives. Integrating and building effective teams is another challenge for managers. Beata Drzazga stresses that the key to success is creating an atmosphere of trust and cooperation within the team. Managers should focus on building relationships, motivating employees and ensuring that their skills are developed. Rafal Hiszpanski adds that an atmosphere and organizational culture that provides support, trust and equality in the workplace is also important.
